About the Pastor
Pastor Thomas Ofosuhene was born on Thursday July 17, 1975 to Madam Agnes Asante and Mr. Kwadwo Ofori. He grew up with his mother as a single parent in Accra. He was the fourth born of his parents and raised in a Christian home. He was very involved in the church and served by cleaning the church every Monday after school. At the age of fifteen years, he lost his mother, who was his hope and everything in life. Due to his love for the Lord and commitment in the church, God brought wonder• ful families in his life and they were so much of a blessing to him.He completed his secondary school in Christian Methodist in 1994. He then proceeded to Labone Secondary School for his advance level for two years. In spite of his challenges, he had the passion to further his educa• tion. He completed his bachelor's degree in 2002 in University of Ghana. While in university, he decided to attend bible school at Daystar Bible College and finished in the year 2000. In 2012 finished graduate studies in Public Administration from Central Michigan University, USA. The call of God was upon him in the early stage of his life. He attended Ebenezer Assemblies of God, Ghana, where he grew up in the Lord and was very active in the church. He later became the Youth Ministry treasurer, a Sunday school teacher and the prayer warrior leader. His zeal for God moved him to join some brethren who organized prayer meeting every Thursday. His passion for prayer opened several doors for him, travelling to many countries such as Great Britain, Holland, Belgium, Italy, France, Canada and USA while in Ghana. His passion is prayer. In 2002 when he completed his university education, he came to the US and stayed with Rev.& Mrs. Godfried Duah when they were pastoring the Apostolic church in Virginia.
A few years later, they were transferred to the New York branch Thomas decided to remain in Virginia. He was led to plant a church in Woodbridge, Virginia in June, 2006. It is to the glory of God that through Breakthrough Evangelistic Ministries International, many souls have been won for the Lord. Under his leadership, the ministry has been outreach focused, where we ship clothing, shoes and household items to Ghana and other West African countries for rural evangelism. Also, BEMI has adopted a shelter home for abused women in Manassas, Virginia. In addition to Wednesday bible studies, he introduced cell groups where members meet in their localities to discuss the Word of God and have fellow• ship. There is also a Friday prayer service and a monthly prayer meet• ing dubbed Breakthrough Hour held on Saturdays. In this Saturday service people come from other states to come and worship and praise their Maker in songs, featuring seasoned gospel artists in our locality and messages from me. The beginning of 2005 was an awesome experience in his life. God made a way and gave him the opportunity to marry a woman of God. Mrs. Afua Ofosuhene has been his life partner and her presence in his life has been a blessing. Her sincere love, support in prayer, wisdom and hard work has helped him accomplish so much in ministry. He truly love her and thanks God for her life. She has even given him three wonderful children, Maame Oforiwaa, Papa Adom and Ayeyi. They have been the source of his love and he is blessed to have them. As his all-time favorite scripture says in Romans 9:16, "so then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him who runneth, but of God who sheweth mercy". Even through the dying embers of his life, God has been faithful and has brought him this far to His glory.
